Members of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) from various regions across the country convened on Saturday in Embu County for the annual LSK Justice Games 2024.
This year’s event took place at the University of Embu grounds, drawing legal professionals from South-Western Kenya, Mount Kenya, South-Eastern Kenya, North Rift, and the Coast.
Advocates from various institutions and law firms engaged in different games, including football, volleyball, darts, badminton, and table tennis.
Embu High Court Judge Lucy Njuguna was the chief guest at the opening ceremony presided over by LSK President Faith Odhiambo.
Addressing the press, Odhiambo highlighted the event’s significance in fostering unity and promoting camaraderie among members of the legal profession.
“The LSK Justice Games is not just a sporting event; it is a platform for our members to connect, build relationships, and enhance their well-being,” she stated.
Sports and Talents Chief Officer Pithon Muchoki expressed pride in Embu County’s role as the host of the games, highlighting the county’s growing reputation as a sporting destination.
“Hosting the LSK Justice Games is a privilege for Embu County. We are committed to making Embu a recognized sporting destination,” Muchoki said.
He also noted that Embu recently hosted the Embu Sevens, further solidifying its status in the sporting community.
This marks the second edition of the LSK Justice Games, with the event continuing to build on its mission of promoting unity and physical fitness among legal professionals.
