A Housing Co-operative Society in Embu County has invited qualified building contractors to bid for the construction of a multi-storey commercial rental housing project in Embu Town.
In a tender notice issued on June 15, 2026, the Focus Realtors society said it is seeking experienced and licensed contractors to undertake the labor-based construction of a four-storey building aimed at expanding rental housing and commercial space within Embu town.
According to the notice, the project will involve foundation works, structural masonry, plumbing and electrical conduit installations, as well as interior finishing works including plastering, flooring and painting.
The society requires interested bidders to demonstrate a proven track record in executing similar residential or commercial construction projects.
“Contractors must also possess valid registration with the National Construction Authority (NCA), be capable of providing a comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BQ), and commit to strict project delivery timelines,” read a section of the notice.
Additionally, applicants are required to submit references from previous clients within Embu County as part of the evaluation process.
Interested contractors have until June 29, 2026, to submit their company profiles, NCA certificates and financial bids either through email or by hand delivery.
The society has advised prospective bidders seeking further information on the project to visit its offices located in Runyenjes town in Embu County before the submission deadline.
