Kirinyaga County governor Ann Waiguru has commended the outstanding contributions of nurses in the society.
Waiguru said nurses were the most important resource in the health sector, lauding them for going beyond their call of duty.
She said nurses demonstrate resilience, compassion, and professionalism in their work.
“Always remember that you are the most important resource in the health sector,” she said.
Waiguru who is also the Council of Governors chair, said in enhancing Universal Health Coverage, Specialized Nursing Training is critical.
She spoke during the 16th Specialized Nursing Graduation Ceremony of Kenyatta National Hospital School of Nursing.
Moreover, Waiguru lauded Kenyatta National Hospital for her commitment to healthcare training.
“To Kenyatta National Hospital, your commitment to healthcare training does not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for your contribution,” she said.
