Kenya’s national football team, Harambee Stars, will face the Burundi team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier on June 7th at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Kenya stadiums missed approval by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to host matches of this caliber since their stadiums have not met the set international standards.

Nyayo National Stadium and the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani which have hosted such high-profile matches in the past are undergoing renovations.

Currently, Harambee Stars are in third place on the log with 3 points, having won against Seychelles and lost to Gabon.

In the upcoming June international window, they will play against Burundi and Ivory Coast.
