The new Embu County Chief Officer for Medical Services, Mr. Patrick Mukavi, has officially assumed office, taking over from Mr. Benjamin Kisilu in a move aimed at sustaining progress in the county’s healthcare sector.
The transition was overseen by the County Health Management Team (CHMT) under the leadership of CECM Jamal Runyenje OGW.
Mr. Kisilu, who has completed his tenure, was praised for his dedication, visionary leadership, and significant contributions to strengthening the county’s health system.
Under his guidance, the department made strides in aligning its operations with the Governor’s vision of a healthier Embu.

“The journey has been fulfilling, and I am proud of what we have achieved together. The focus has always been to ensure quality healthcare for all residents,” Mr. Kisilu said as he handed over the office.
Mr. Mukavi, the incoming Chief Officer, expressed enthusiasm at taking up the role.
“I am honored to serve the people of Embu County. I look forward to building on the foundation laid by my predecessor and advancing healthcare services across the county,” he said.
The CHMT pledged full support to Mr. Mukavi as he takes the lead, emphasizing a shared commitment to health, compassion, and excellence in service delivery.
County officials expressed confidence that the new leadership would continue to enhance healthcare provision, ensuring that residents benefit from accessible and quality services.
The transition marks a new chapter for the Department of Health in Embu, reinforcing the county government’s dedication to prioritizing the wellbeing of its citizens.
