Embu Senator Alexander Mundigi has called on supporters of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to rally behind President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government, saying cooperation with the state would fast-track development across the country.
Speaking on Sunday at ACK Karurina Church in Manyatta Sub-county, Mundigi said Kenya had reached a point where citizens must rise above partisan politics and focus on initiatives that promote unity and progress.
“The government has shown it serves all Kenyans without favoritism. I invite ODM supporters to support the government so that no one is left behind in development,” he said.

The senator lauded the Ruto administration for equitable distribution of resources, noting that various regions — including Embu County — were already reaping benefits from ongoing national projects in infrastructure, agriculture, and education.
Mundigi cautioned leaders against perpetuating divisive politics, saying such behavior only hinders progress and breeds mistrust among communities.
“There are those misleading ODM supporters for selfish gain. Let us ignore them and focus on unity. Growth comes when we work with the government, not against it,” he added.
He urged residents to continue supporting the government’s development agenda, emphasizing that cooperation and harmony would attract more investment and opportunities to the region.
