Residents of Kanyuambora area in Mbeere North Constituency, Embu County have been warned to expect intermittent water supply disruptions beginning Thursday, April 24, 2025, due to the ongoing construction of the Rukuriri-Kathageri road.
According to a statement by Embu Water and Sanitation Company (EWASCO), the disruptions are necessary to allow relocation of the main pipeline from Thuci in affected sections between Kiangungi and Kathageri areas in Runyenjes Constituency.
EWASCO assured the public it is working closely with the road contractor to minimize the impact and duration of the interruptions.
The company emphasized that water supply will only be disrupted intermittently during the construction period.
“The pipeline will be relocated in phases to ensure water supply is only affected intermittently the construction period. We kindly request for your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to improve infrastructure in the region,” EWASCO said in a statement seen by Arise Media.
