Neema Universal Health Care Hospital has announced an Expectant Mothers Camp on August 24, 2024, to provide essential healthcare services and educational resources to pregnant women in the community.
The one-day camp, to be held at the hospital’s Embu branch, will offer various services for free, including consultation, Obstetrics Ultra Sound, RBS, BP, and HB tests.
During the camp, prenatal check-ups, nutritional guidance, and informational sessions on childbirth and newborn care will be provided.
The event is expected to attract hundreds of expectant mothers from the surrounding area.
“We are committed to supporting maternal health and ensuring that expectant mothers have access to the information and care they need for a healthy pregnancy,” said Dr. Patrick Kariuki, the hospital’s CEO.
Kariuki said the camp is part of the hospital’s ongoing efforts to improve maternal and child health outcomes in Embu and the neighboring communities.
In addition to health services, the camp will feature interactive talks led by healthcare professionals, covering topics such as breastfeeding, and postpartum care among other important care services.
The camp is part of the hospital’s broader initiative to enhance community health education and outreach.
