Runyenjes MP Eric Muchangi met with his former rival in the last general elections, Steve Simba, to discuss mutual efforts to improve the constituency.

The meeting, held at the MP’s residence marks a significant step towards fostering cooperation and development in the constituency.

The Saturday morning meeting aimed to bridge the political divide and focus on shared goals.

The duo expressed their commitment to working together to address key issues such as infrastructure development, healthcare improvement, and educational advancements.

“We discussed development in our great Constituency, political stability, and the future of Kenya among many other issues,” the MP said.

Muchangi noted that political competition is not enmity, noting that despite political differences, they share a common vision of progress and prosperity for the constituency.

On his part, Simba noted that the interest of the electorates supersedes their political differences, promising unity for development.

“We have resolved that the interest of the people of Runyenjes constituency supersedes our political differences and therefore worked on a formula to work together for the betterment of our people,” he said.
