Embu County Government will enhance agricultural extension services to improve quality and increase quantities of produce, Governor Cecily Mbarire has said.
Mbarire said the move seeks to provide enough farm produce to feed into the County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) and place Embu County Competitively in the market.
She spoke during the groundbreaking and laying of the foundation stone for the Embu County Aggregation and Industrial Park at Machang’a in Mbeere South Constituency.

The governor noted that the county was keen to ensure that the project would be a success, therefore revolutionizing the social economic life of the people of Mbeere South and Embu at large.
“The park will address perennial challenges of post-harvest losses resulting from poor storage, fluctuating prices owing to surplus on-season production, and exploitation by middlemen,” she said.
The governor emphasized that the Aggregation and Industrial Park is not just a physical space, saying it symbolizes their commitment to fostering innovation, attracting investments, and creating sustainable employment for Embu people.
The County Assembly of Embu approved the budgetary allocation of Sh250 Million as the Embu County Counter fund for the project.
