An Embu businessman has sparked controversy by declaring that he owes no one an explanation for his acts of kindness.
This declaration comes in the wake of his recent charitable endeavors that have surprised and intrigued the community.
Kenjava Mwaniki, popularly known as ‘Wakagoto’ has garnered attention for his consistent generosity towards the less fortunate.
From funding local schools to providing essential resources to struggling families, Wakagoto’s philanthropic gestures have not gone unnoticed.
“I don’t owe anyone an explanation for helping others. I am a product of the grace of God and the generosity of the great people of Embu,” he said.
The businessman spoke at Embu’s Talent Academy during the United Artists in Embu, Manyatta Sub-county extravaganza, where he contributed Sh50,000.
He revealed that plans are underway to construct a state-of-the-art music studio in Embu town, tailored to meet the needs of the region’s burgeoning artist community.
Wakagoto’s unapologetic stance has divided opinion within the community. While many applaud his selfless deeds and view them as a beacon of hope in challenging times, others express skepticism and curiosity regarding his motives.

In December last year, the renowned business personality organized a Christmas party for thousands of Embu residents. He has also constructed bridges, roads, and permanent houses for the disadvantaged.
Wakagoto revealed that he allocated a portion of his multi-million company’s CSR funds toward helping the less fortunate through his Toa Jam program.
