St. John Ambulance Kenya is set to host the Save a Life Walkathon on 3rd May 2025, with proceeds dedicated to training and equipping community first responders in first aid and emergency care.
The walk will take place in Embu, featuring two routes — 5km and 10km — and will culminate at the University of Embu, where the second part of the event, including awareness sessions and demonstrations, will be held.
With a basic participation package of Sh1,500, which includes a branded T-shirt, participants will be directly contributing to life-saving initiatives in underserved areas. Registration is open at www.stjohnkenya.org/walkathon.
Eastern Regional Officer Nelson Njagi highlighted the importance of the initiative: “Many lives are lost due to the lack of immediate emergency response. This walk is not just symbolic — it’s a direct investment in the safety of our communities.“

The funds raised will help empower local volunteers with vital emergency response skills and tools, closing the gap in areas where emergency services or medical aid is highly needed.
Supporters can also contribute through MPESA Paybill 4092409, Account Number: EASTERN, even if they can’t physically attend.
This walkathon is more than an event — it’s a movement to save lives, one step at a time.
