Public Service Cabinet Secretary Geoffrey Ruku has called upon all civil servants across the country to wear Harambee Stars jerseys throughout August to rally behind the national football team ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Speaking in Gichiche, Runyenjes, CS Ruku said the move is meant to foster national pride and boost the morale of the Harambee Stars as they continue to participate in the ongoing competition.

“This simple act of wearing the national team jersey symbolizes our collective support for our players and strengthens our unity as a nation,” Ruku said.

Ruku, who joined the Cabinet in April, affirmed he will personally lead by example. He also emphasized that civil servants embody the face of government and should actively promote patriotism through such national initiatives.
