Encouraging Girls in Mathematics

Dr. Dominic Kitavi, Head of the Mathematics and Statistics Department at the University of Embu’s School of Pure and Applied Sciences, praised the improved performance this year.

He encouraged female students to pursue mathematics and sciences, stating, “The belief that mathematics is for men is outdated. Girls should continue embracing and excelling in these subjects.”

As the University of Embu continues to host the contest annually, organizers hope to inspire more students to develop a passion for mathematics, paving the way for careers in engineering, medicine, data science, and technology.
