St. Catherine of Siena Nthagaiya Girls High School has cemented its place among the top-performing schools in Embu County, celebrating outstanding results in the recently released 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
The school proudly announced that 81 girls had met the qualifications to pursue degree courses in universities, while another 60 girls were eligible for diploma programs.
These achievements underscore the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic education.
Principal Irene Murithi attributed the success to a collective effort involving the Church, the Board of Management led by Rev. Fr. Agapius Kamau, the school leadership, learners, and support staff.
“The unity and teamwork have been our guiding principles, and this success is a testament to our collaborative spirit,” she remarked.
Deputy Principal Rachael Wanja and Head of Curriculum Harrison Murithi emphasized the crucial roles discipline and spiritual nourishment played in the stellar performance.
The duo also lauded parents for their unwavering support, contributing to the impressive results of over 90% of the 2024 candidates.
To celebrate this remarkable success, the school management organized a celebratory party at a hotel in Embu, bringing together teaching and non-teaching staff for a moment of joy and gratitude.
St. Catherine of Siena Nthagaiya Girls School, which posted a mean grade of 6.1 in the 2024 KCSE, has now set its sights on achieving a mean grade of 7.5 in the 2025 examinations.
