Camp Ndunda Falls in Embu County became a vibrant hub this weekend as it hosted the annual Mudathon competition, attracting hundreds of participants.
The event, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Ndunda waterfall, offered a challenging course filled with mud and natural obstacles that tested the endurance and teamwork of its participants.
The event organized by Camp Ndunda Falls management team, aimed to promote physical and mental health while encouraging sustainable tourism.
Margaret Gatita, the Head of Marketing at Camp Ndunda Falls, emphasized the competition’s dual purpose.
“Our main goal is to foster better mental and physical health and to inspire visitors to appreciate the beauty of Embu County through sustainable tourism,” Gatita stated.
Participants included a diverse mix of professional athletes and families seeking a day of fun and adventure.
The challenging course required competitors to navigate through muddy fields and tackle various natural obstacles, fostering a spirit of camaraderie as they helped one another through the rigorous path.
