Students who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations last year will know their results in a few hours.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu will release the results in Eldoret after briefing President William Ruto.

Arise Media has learned that President Ruto has ordered a probe into the KCSE after the CS informed him that 3, 000 students who registered for the KCSE 2023 did not sit for the examinations.

The KCSE exams began on October 23 and ended on November 24 with 903,260 candidates sitting the papers over the period.

This is the first in five years that the KCSE results have been delayed well beyond the New Year.

According to the CS, the delay was attributed to the high level of verification of the results after confusion rocked the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education.

KNEC says there was no leakage in the 2023 KCSE examination, and attributes success to a great collaboration with center managers; persons with pending matters asked to conclude within 4 years.
