Embu leaders have called for unity, reconciliation, and responsible dialogue amid growing political divisions that they warn could hinder development and social cohesion.
Speaking at All Saints ACK Church in Kiritiri, Mbeere South, on Sunday, Embu Senator Alexander Munyi Mundigi urged residents to be patient with ongoing government projects, warning that persistent opposition could stall progress.
“Development is a process that requires time and goodwill. Constant opposition only delays the good meant for the people,” Mundigi said.
Mbeere ACK Bishop Dr. Moses Masamba echoed the call for peace, decrying increasing political antagonism and urging leaders to prioritize the common good over personal interests.
“The foundation of any thriving society lies in how well its people understand and respect one another,” Bishop Masamba said.
Former Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti emphasized inclusivity in governance, saying that progress depends on leaders and citizens uniting around a shared vision rather than political egos.
The leaders expressed hope that the ongoing season would inspire deeper commitment to peace, tolerance, and cooperation across the county.
