The Jubilee Party has officially endorsed former Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i as its presidential flagbearer for the 2027 General Elections, promising a fierce battle against any attempts at electoral fraud.

Speaking during a delegates’ meeting in Embu on Friday, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni announced that the party had launched grassroots mobilization efforts and would remain on high alert to protect the integrity of the vote.

“We want to warn President William Ruto and any IEBC officials planning to interfere with the election process—we will be watching closely to safeguard credibility,” Kioni declared.

He accused the Kenya Kwanza administration of manipulating voter registration by issuing identification cards in select regions, claiming it was a ploy to influence the outcome.

Kioni hailed Matiang’i as the most credible alternative to President Ruto, citing his record in public service, particularly during his tenure at the education and interior ministries.

“Ruto should prepare for his exit. Matiang’i has become a household name. This government has failed Kenyans,” he said, adding that Jubilee’s aim is to deliver 10 million votes and reclaim leadership.

The party also confirmed that Matiang’i has resigned from his World Bank position to focus on his presidential campaign.

Jubilee’s move signals renewed opposition unity ahead of the 2027 race, as calls intensify to make the Kenya Kwanza regime a one-term government.
