The State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET), in collaboration with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, is set to host a three-day job fair at Moi Stadium in Embu town.
The event, dubbed ‘Kazi Majuu,’ aims to connect job seekers with opportunities both locally and internationally.
The job fair set for June 12 to June 14 is expected to attract thousands of participants, including recent graduates, skilled professionals, and employers from various sectors. Anyone with a skill is invited.
Attendees will engage with potential employers and authentic agencies, attend career workshops, and receive guidance on job searching and career development.
“Our goal is to bridge the gap between job seekers and employment opportunities, both within Kenya and abroad,” said Principal Secretary State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training Dr. Esther Thaara Muoria.
The event will feature numerous booths and information sessions, providing insights into the current job market trends, skills in demand, and pathways to careers in technical and vocational fields.
Moreover, attendees will receive training on migration processes, requirements, and steps involved in securing jobs abroad.
This initiative aligns with the government’s broader efforts to combat unemployment and enhance the skill sets of the Kenyan workforce, ensuring they remain competitive both locally and internationally.
