Embu County has launched a three-day Financial Management Training for Facility Incharges to enhance healthcare service delivery as part of implementing the Embu County Health Services Act.

The training, officially opened on Tuesday by County Executive Committee Member (CEC) for Health and Trade, Jamal Runyenje, seeks to equip facility incharges with essential financial, procurement, and audit skills.

The program also includes sensitization on the Social Health Authority (SHA) Act, processes, and discussions on support supervision for quality healthcare services.

“We are intentional about taking a holistic approach as we continue to streamline healthcare service delivery,” said Runyenje.

The initiative is being facilitated in support of AMREF and the Council of Governors (COG).

This comes as the county pushes for stronger financial accountability and efficiency in its health sector, with the training expected to improve service management across all healthcare facilities.
