Embu Diocese Catholic Choirs’ Association (EDCCA) has embarked on a transformative week-long workshop to enhance musical excellence and spiritual enrichment.

Choir members from across the diocese have gathered at the Don Bosco Technical Boys Secondary School to participate in this intensive training program.

The annual week-long schedule is packed with activities designed to hone musical talents and personal connections within the choral community.

Diocesan Choir Chaplain Rev. Fr. Michael Ngari officially opened the seminar on Sunday.

Under the guidance of experienced facilitators and music directors, participants engage in vocal training sessions, where they learn techniques to improve their singing prowess and harmonize their voices.

Moreover, the workshop offers workshops on music theory, sight-reading, and choral arrangement, providing invaluable knowledge to the attendees.

Beyond musical development, the workshop emphasizes the spiritual aspect of choral singing.

Manyatta MP John Mukunji visited the choir members on Monday afternoon to interact with participants, listening to their experiences and aspirations.

“The workshop focuses on training in music notes reading, composing, and keyboard playing. We laud the diocesan choir Chaplain Father Michael Ngari for the great stewardship,” he said.
