The County Government of Embu, through its Sports, Talents, and Creative Arts Department, has unveiled the audition dates for aspiring youngsters who applied for talent-nurturing opportunities.
Recently, the devolved unit unveiled a program to nurture talents across various disciplines.
The program, named Embu Talent Hub seeks to provide platforms for young individuals to develop their skills and pursue their passions.
Each of the four constituencies in the County has been allocated its day for the auditions, where applicants will showcase their prowess in a myriad of items for judgment.
Pithon Muchoki, the Chief Officer for Youths, Sports, and Talent Development, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming auditions, emphasizing the importance of identifying and supporting talented individuals at the grassroots level.
“We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all. These auditions represent a crucial step in our efforts to build and nurture talents in the County,” he said.
Under the program, talent categories such as singing, modeling, comedy, fine arts, dance, content creating, spoken word, acrobatics, and Radio cum TV presenting are prioritized.
AUDITION DATES PER CONSTITUENCY
- Mbeere South Constituency: 20th, April 2024 at the Kiritiri CDF Hall
- Runyenjes Constituency: 27th, April 2024 at the Runyenjes Social Hall
- Manyatta Constituency: 3rd & 4th, May 2024 at the Embu Talent Academy
- Mbeere North Constituency: 11th, May 2024 at the Siakago CDF Hall
Auditions will start at 9:00 am through 5:00 pm.
Muchoki said the talent-nurturing initiative will encompass workshops, training sessions, competitions, and mentorship programs tailored to specific talent domains.
