His Grace Archbishop Anthony Muheria has issued a stern advisory to Christians, urging them to refrain from speculating on who the next bishop of Embu will be.
The Nyeri Archbishop who doubles as the Diocese of Embu Apostolic administrator called on the faithful to exercise patience and trust in decision-making.
“Let us focus on prayer and contemplation, seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance in this important decision. Our faith calls us to trust God’s plan and not speculations,” he said.
The advice comes amidst heightened anticipation and curiosity within the Christian community following the recent vacancy in the position.
Embu has been abuzz with speculation and rumors regarding the potential candidates for the next bishop since the departure of Rt. Rev. Paul Kariuki Njiru.
Kariuki was moved to the newly erected Catholic Diocese of Wote in September last year.
During his installation as the Bishop of Wote, Pope Francis appointed Archbishop Muheria as the Apostolic administrator in the Diocese of Embu.
Archbishop Muheria spoke during a Diaconate Ordination at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral grounds, Karurina-Embu.
He highlighted the significance of prayer and reflection during this transitional period saying gossips and speculations won’t allow them to pray.
