The government is enhancing job opportunities for Kenyan nursing graduates by increasing access to the NCLEX exam, a key requirement for international employment.
Through the State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, the government has partnered with the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), the Nursing Council of Kenya, and Pearson VUE—the official NCLEX exam center—to improve affordability and accessibility for aspiring nurses.
Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni said the government is committed to ensuring more Kenyan nurses sit for the exam and qualify for global job opportunities.
“We visited the Pearson VUE examination center to explore strategies for making the exam more accessible and affordable for our nurses,” she said.
