The High Court in Nairobi has upheld Mr. Chege Kirundi’s election as the substantive chairman of the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) Holdings Board, vacating earlier conservatory orders that had suspended his leadership.
On Monday afternoon, the court dismissed an application by Enos Njeru, the immediate former chairman, who had been removed from the position through a board election.
The court ruled that Njeru’s petition lacked merit and allowed the respondent’s request to lift the suspension.
Following the ruling, KTDA Corporate Communications reassured stakeholders that operations remain uninterrupted.
The agency is focused on delivering value, improving efficiency, and promoting the welfare of tea farmers.
